Mukti Society provides peer-led addiction and mental health support in Surrey, BC, offering free, low-barrier counselling, recovery programs, life-skills training, and sober living support for youth and adults impacted by substance use and the toxic drug crisis.
Mukti Society fills critical gaps in addiction recovery services by providing a continuum of care, including counselling, outreach, housing support, and life-skills programs. Our services are designed for individuals facing barriers to care, including youth, adults, and those at risk of relapse, homelessness, or involvement with the justice system.

Mukti Society is a Surrey-based charity dedicated to providing inclusive, accessible services to those facing challenges related to mental health, substance use and criminal justice involvement with a focus on serving vulnerable youth and those from the Indo-Canadian community.

Free Counselling
We offer no-cost low-barrier counselling in the City of Surrey. Our trauma-informed, strength-based counselling supports those living with anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as in alcohol and substance-use recovery.
Sober Living Housing
Our Sober Living House in Surrey, BC supports sober and transitional housing pathways. In our sober living home, we offer peer mentorship, counselling, life skills programming and stability-focused supports that reduce relapse and overdose risk.
VISION: Mukti Drop-In Centre
OUR VISION: In 2026, Mukti is working toward opening a Youth Drop‐In Centre in Surrey, BC that will provide a safe, peer-led space offering recreation, mentorship, shared meals, and free one‐on‐one and group counselling.
